Kom Ombo And Edfu Temples

In the morning, you will be picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Luxor. Accompanied by a guide, you will be taken to the Kom Ombo temple, located on the river Nile.
Built during the Greco-Roman era, Kom Ombo is home to an unusual double temple. The temple on the right is dedicated to crocodile god, Sobek, while the temple on the left was in honor of Haroeris. Each temple has its own entrance, court, halls and sanctuary. The temple is believed to change colors as the sun sets.
Further on, proceed to the Edfu temple built out of sandstone during the Ptolemaic period. The temple is dedicated to the falcon-headed god, Horus. It is the best preserved temple in Egypt, and is magnificently constructed making wonderful use of natural sunlight. The temple contains a Nile meter, windows and a well, including a variety of battle and religious inscriptions on the walls. Two statues of falcons are located at the entrance of the temple. The interior includes a library, a cloak room, a laboratory, a treasure room, an offering hall, a sanctuary and other chambers.
you will be dropped back to your hotel in Luxor............. End of service
