Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca (D) Friday
Greeting at Mohamed V airport, assistance & transfer to your hotel in Casablanca. Dinner and overnight. Overnight: Casablanca
Day 2: Casablanca-Rabat - Tangier (B, D) (280 km)
After breakfast, we will have a half-day sightseeing tour of Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. We will visit the Mohammad V square and Habbous district and the residential area of Anfa. After lunch break we will follow the Barbary Coast to the imperial city of Rabat; the administrative capital city of the Kingdom. We will see Mechouar (ramparts and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the fortified Oudaya Kasbah, the marvelous Mohamed V mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. Depart to Tangier and visit the city. Dinner and overnight.Overnight: Tangier
Day 3: Tangier - Chefchouen (B, D) (280 km)
Departure to Chaouen, or Chefchaouen as in Berber language, Visit the one of the most beautiful towns of the Rifmountains. It is a mountains massif and the last rampart before the Mediterranean and the Iberian Peninsula. It is famous for its shady valleys Medina, its white houses with blues doors and wrought iron windows and tile roofs. The local markets of Chaouen are animated with traditionally dressed habitants and colourful goods beautifully displayed. Chaoun offers to visitors the charm of a city which has preserve the Arab-Andalusia art and traditions, . Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Overnight: Tangier
Day 4: Chefchouen – Fes (B, D) (220 km)
After breakfast, continue the imperial city of Meknes to see the Bab Mansour gateway as well as the granaries, royal stables and shrine of Moulay Ismail, among the few shrines in Morocco non-Muslims can visit. Continue to Volubilis, the site of well-preserved Roman ruins. Travel to Fes Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Overnight: Fes
Day 5: Fes (B, D)
After breakfast, we will begin our full day sightseeing tour of Fes, the most ancient city of the Imperials, founded by Idris I (789) and his son Moulay Idris II (810). We will visit the medieval Medina with its Medersas (religious Islamic universities) Attarine and Bou Anania, the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque. After lunch we will continue to Fes Jdid (new Fez), and return to our hotel.Overnight: Fes
Day 6: Fez / Midelt / Erfoud / Merzouga (B, D) (450 km)
After breakfast, we will depart to Erfoud driving through the gorgeous mountains and cedar woods that give way to volcanic mountains of Middle Atlas. On our way for lunch in Midelt, we will pass by Ifrane, the Swiss-style village, and Azrou, an important handicraft center. After lunch we will drive to Errachidia; on our way the landscape will change to a stony desert but before we reach Erfoud, we will see another miracle of the desert life: the serene oasis of Ziz Valley will surprise us with its stunning scene. Then transfer by 4x4 vehicles to Merzouga for dinner and overnight..(Optional accommodation at a desert camp in a tent, should be booked in advance) Overnight: Merzouga
Day 7: Erfoud / Rissani / Tinghir / Ouarzazate (B, D) (390 km)
Early morning, excursion to see the sunrise over the sands-dunes of Merzouga. After breakfast at the Auberge, back to Efourd by 4x4 and then transfer to bus to continue to Rissani; the last village on the Ziz River, it is a holy city where Moulay Ali Cherif, ancestor of the Alaouite dynastyis buried. We will visit the Kasbah of the 17th century and the Ksar Abbar ruins, which was used as a place of exile for the wives of dead sultans and unwanted family members. Our next stop is Tinghir via the Tinjdad road. We will visit the magnificent Todra Canyon which is situated on the remote east side of the High Atlas Mountains and famous with its spectacular rocks that walls up 300 m on each side of the canyon. After having lunch in a restaurant at the feet of the Canyon we will drive to Dades valley and then continue to Ouarzazate via the road of the Thousand Kasbahs’. Overnight: Ouarzazate
Day 8: Ouarzazate / Marrakech (B, D) (230 km)
After the breakfast we will visit the Kasbahs of Taourirt and Ait Benhaddou, the most spectacular fortress in the south of Morocco. Ait Benhaddou is a village made up of several small fortresses, kasbahs, each stretching some ten meters into the air. The effect of this has attracted movie makers from far away, and a film like Lawrence of Arabia was partly shot around here. We will have our lunch at the terrace of a restaurant facing the Kasbahs. From here we will continue on to Marrakech , the red imperial city, via the Tichka pass offering an impressive landscape in the heart of the Atlas mountain chain.Overnight: Marrakech
Day 9: Casablanca/Cairo flight - Arrival Cairo (B)
Fly from Casablanca to Cairo, Arrive at Cairo airport; assistance with passport control. Private transport to hotel. Overnight Cairo
Day 10: Pyramids tour, Overnight Cairo (B)
Visit Sakkara to see the step pyramid of Zosser. Move on to Cheops, Chephren and Mykerions. Visit the Sphinx, guarding a huge funeral complex.
Day 11: Flight to Luxor, overnight Cruise (B, L, D)
After breakfast, transfer to the Cairo airport to fly to Luxor. Sit down for lunch before visiting Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple. Enjoy afternoon tea at 5:30 p.m., then a belly dancing show followed by dinner. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 12: Nile Cruise (B, L, D)
Optional Hot Air Balloon Ride over the West bank, early breakfast and a 7 am. departure for the West Bank visit to the Valley of Kings. Sail to Esna, and eat lunch 1 p.m. Afternoon tea at 5 p.m. Captain's welcome cocktail party at 7:30 p.m. followed by dinner and dancing. Overnight in Esna.
Day 13: Nile Cruise (B, L, D)
At noon go to visit Edfu Temple. Lunch is at 2:30 p.m., then you'll sail to Kom Ombo. Afternoon tea is at 5 p.m., and dinner is at 8 p.m. followed by a Galabya party.
Day 14: Nile Cruise (B, L, D)
Visit Kom Ombo Temple, then sail to Aswan. Lunch is at noon, then at 1:30 p.m. visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries and the Temple of Philae. Dinner is at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Nubian folkloric show.
Day 15: Flight to Cairo then connect to Amman (B)
Optional Abu Simbel tour by Flight or by RoadTransfer to Aswan airport to fly to Cairo. Connect to your Cairo/Amman flight, Upon arrival, transfer to Amman Hotel for overnight.
Day 16: Amman city tour – Jerash (B)
Tour of Amman. Drive to the North to visit the Greco-Roman city of Jerash. Overnight in Amman.
Day 17: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo – Kerak – Petra (B)
Visit Madaba, City of the Mosaics. Go to Mount Nebo, the place where Moses was buried. Drive to Kerak, via the King’s Highway. Overnight in Petra.
Day 18: Petra visit (B)
Pick up from your hotel in Petra for a visit to the Nabatean Red Rose city of Petra with a local English-speaking guide for 2 hours. Petra is one of the 7 world wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enter the city through 1KM long narrow gorge which is flanked either side by 80m high cliffs! Notice the dazzling colors and formations of the rocks. The site is massive, and contains hundreds of elaborated rock-cut tombs, a treasury, Roman-style theatres, temples, sacrificial altars and colonnaded streets. Upon completion, transfer to your hotel in Petra for Overnight
Day 19: Petra – Wadi Rum – Dead Sea (B)
Pick up from your hotel in Petra, head to explore Wadi Rum on a 1.30 hour jeep ride into the Jordanian desert! Wadi Rum was best described by T.E. Lawrence as “Vast, echoing and god-like”, and by the locals as “Valley of the Moon”. Upon completion, transfer to your hotel at the Dead Sea for dinner & overnight. Overnight stay at the Dead Sea
