St. Catherine Monastery (from Sharm)
In the morning, you will be picked up in from your hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh. Accompanied by a guide, you will be taken to the St Catherine's monastery, one of the most famous monasteries of the world.
The monastery is located at the foot of Mount Sinai and was constructed by the order of Emperor Justinian between 527 and 565. Inside, you will come across priceless works of art, including Arab mosaics, Greek and Russian icons, Western oil paintings, paintings on wax, marbles, enamels, chalices, including one donated by Czar Alexander II in the 19th century, and another by Empress Catherine of Russia in the 17th century.
you will be dropped back to your hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh.
