Magdy Mobinil and Ahmad Gamal - our tour operators - did a wonderful job coordinating our tours in Egypt. They made sure our travel experience was safe, comfortable, and stress free from the beginning of the trip to the end. They especially came through when our luggage got held-up in Egypt’s Customs. This could have ruined our trip, but they went the extra mile for us. Additionally, the Giza tour guide (Hanni) was very knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely liked his job, which made this part of the tour especially enjoyable. The river cruise is a must as well. Our hotels - Le Meridien with a poolside view of the pyramids and the ultra modern Steigenberger were excellent. We cannot say enough kind things about these gentlemen. We definitely recommend utilizing their services and look forward to other trips arranged by them. Many thanks.

Magdy and his staff were wonderful. Everything was very professionally arranged and managed. We had extra days, Magdy customized the itinerary to suite our liking so we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it without getting stressed for time, and we utilized the time very effectively. All the guides and representatives were very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous - special mention to Ibrahim, our guide for Luxor/Aswan, he was absolutely amazing and like a dear friend. He went out of his way by making special arrangements and even helped with matters on the cruise ship. Egypt is an enchanting place, but it was be even more memorable due to the excellent vacationstogo team.

This was the first time when we were going for a trip arranged by a trip planner as we generally prefer planning ourselves. I must say this experience really changed our view for self vs tour guide trips. Especially for a place like Egypt: where most of the travel is related to history AND where public transport is not very well managed - it makes a lot of sense to take a tour company and really enjoy your trip vs struggling in small matters daily.
Would specially like to thanks Ahmed (coordinator) and Mohammad (driver), who were the main company representatives assigned to us. They were really friendly and very much caring for us.
It was also amazing that the company proved free WiFi in the cars (and trust me good internet is a big issue in Egypt) as a lot of travel happens in the car during whole trip. Big thumbs up for this guys !!
Would also like to thank all our tour guides (who are actually government Certified Egyptologists) - they were extremely educated with rich egyptian history and were able to answer weirdest of our questions. For us, Cairo was covered by Bassem, Aswan-Luxor by Ahmed and Alexandria by Nancy. We recommend all three of them for an amazing jolly time trip. You can always ask for them while planning your trip with the company.
The pictures show the kind of hotel accommodations provided by the company - all great brand names, amazing locations with great room views (except Le Meridian Pyramids property in Giza that must be avoided, Kempinski hotel over river Nike is much better substitute)
Quick tips:
- Keep sharing feedback with Ahmed during the trip as he changes things on-the-go to ensure all your expectations are met.
- Respect the time guidance provided by the company. It is an important part of trip success as on many days you need to get up pretty early (pre 5 am)
- In case you prefer more personal trip request for one and the company will arrange a complete trip just for your family. This also ensures that you can change the itinerary as per your immediate needs even in middle of the tour.
- Ask many questions to the guides. Interactive tours bring the best stories out and make great tours possible.
- Keep revising what you learn in history. As the trip progresses all dos begin to tie back and it really makes an amazing experience if you remember the things from past tours.
- Tipping is a big culture in Egypt. Understand this in a good way from Ahmed when you land in Egypt and then use your discretion for managing it over rest of the days. Do not stress yourself with this culture.

We had an amazing vacation in Egypt. We stayed two night at the Meridien Pyramids and had the pyramids right in front of us. An absolutely gorgeous view. Tamer was our guide for the Cairo area, his knowledge was incredible. We left Cairo for our Nile river cruise from Luxor to Aswan, our guide her was Monsour, he became our friend. With him we felt very comfortable, where ever we went and he shared the history and culture of the area with us.
If you plan a trip to Egypt, I can only recommend Vacation To Go Travel and you have to asked for Tamer and Monsour, they are the Best!
I didn’t write anything about the famous cites, so you go, see them and you will be speechless!

My wife and I had a great time on our honeymoon. We are in our 50's and seasoned travelers, not the type to book a tour. However for Egypt, Jordan and Cairo we recommend it. While perfectly safe, it's just easier to navigate these countries with a guide handling everything. And Vacations to Go handles everything, very well. As the "on the ground" tour company they are local experts and make the experience so much better and alleviate all the frustration that we would undoubtedly have experienced. Do yourself a favor and book a trip, you will not be disappointed. We spent 3 weeks seeing the sights and wish we did not have to come home.
Great vacation and safe for Westerners!

We booked a 10 day tour of Egypt through Vacations To Go and it was an amazing experience all around. From the start, Vacations To Go was there to guide us as we got off the plane to the very end when we boarded the plane to go back to the United States. Every staff member was nice and encouraged us to ask questions if we had them. Our tour guides taught us so much, we especially enjoyed our time with Tayeb ElHagag. He was so kind and knowledgeable about the history of Egypt. The cruise on the Nile River was more than I every could have dreamed. While you may have to get up early to see everything on your tour (bring snacks and water!) it is well worth it, the sights are incredible. Thank you Vacations To Go for making us feel so safe and being so organized!

We booked our 5 star, 9 night Private Tour from Cairo through Viator, who connected us with Magdy and Vacations to Go. This was our first trip to Egypt and our 15-year wedding anniversary, so the trip was very special to us and we wanted to do as much of the "must-see" places as possible. THE TRIP WAS PHENOMENAL! We were the only the people on the tour so we had everyone to ourselves. Magdy and his colleagues took such wonderful care of us. We cannot say enough good things about them! Magdy met us at the airport and helped us to exchange currency. He also accompanied us to our first hotel and made sure that we were happy with our room. He also kept in touch with us throughout the trip to be sure everything was going smoothly, to notify us of changes, etc. We really appreciated that. Ahmed made sure that we made it to and from our hotels and the airport safely and timely. The first night we were in Cairo we saw the Light and Sound Show at the Pyramids. On the way back, we had a "dessert run" where Ahmed introduced us to sugarcane juice, rice pudding and coffee caramel candies - they were all delicious! He was delightful to speak with and he really went out of his way to be sure everything went smoothly. Our Cairo guide, Bessem, was a terrific tour guide. He took us to the Giza Pyramids, Saqqara, the Nile Carpet School (they make beautiful carpets!), the Egyptian Museum, Coptic Cairo, Alexandria and a few local recommended vendors for gifts. We had lunch and coffee together and we enjoyed every minute of our time together. He is very knowledgable and he was only too happy to answer our questions and accommodate our requests. Mostafa, a/k/a Mo, was our guide who accompanied us on the Nile Cruise and we just bonded with him. He was magnificent. He knows his history and he has a great sense of humor. Mo took us to Luxor, Edfu, Aswan and Abu Simbel. We are so glad he recommended that we do the Luxor by night horse and carriage ride - it was such a memorable experience. We're still laughing about our ride through the bazaar! He also treated us to some goodies from a local bakery which were delicious! We spent time together at the local cafeterias discussing everything from our itinerary to politics to life in general. We really liked how Mo taught us how to read the hieroglyphs, how to distinguish different characters, etc. And we certainly appreciated his recommendation that we start early every day because it was really hot!! He also takes great pictures! We would be remiss if we didn't think our drivers, especially our drivers in Cairo, for taking us all over and getting us there efficiently and safely! Driving in Cairo is a real experience. You just have to be there to see it for yourself. As for safety, we had no problems. The Egyptian government takes security very seriously. There were enough police around where you noticed them, but not so much that you felt you were walking around in a police state. The people were friendly and many spoke English. Our guides also did a great job of keeping the vendors at bay (everyone wants to sell you something!) and giving us advice on tipping. All in all - GO TO EYGPT! Ignore the nonsense you see on TV. When we travel, we are careful no matter where we go, and things are no different in Egypt. Be mindful of your surroundings, treat people with respect and you will be fine. And, as of now, the US Dollar is exceptionally strong in Egypt, so money goes a long way! We did a lot of shopping!! THANK YOU MAGDY, AHMED, BESSEM AND MO - we can't wait to come back to Egypt - and we will definitely book through Vacations to Go!
