Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to Istanbul (Meals: No)
Upon arrival in Istanbul (Ataturk Airport), our representative will meet you & transfer to the hotel.
(Check-In after 13:00pm) and check in to hotel. Rest of day is leisure and Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2: Historical Istanbul Tour (Meals: Breakfast+Lunch)
Breakfast, visit to the ancient Byzantine Hippodrome where you will tour the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, Fountain of Wilhelm II, the elegant Blue Mosque famous with its heavenly six minarets and the Hagia Sophia Museum, built during the reign of Emperor Theodosius and burned down in the fire of Nika Revolt in 532 A.D. Just before lunch break, you will visit the Caferaga Medresesi. After lunch break at local restaurant, you will visit the Topkapi Palace (excluding harem), residence and administrative center of the Ottoman Sultans. Day tour will finish with the visit of Grand Bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3: Istanbul to Gallipoli then to Canakkale (Meals: Breakfast+Lunch)
After meeting up with your professionally-trained licensed tour guide at hotel, drive to the World War I Battlefields of Gallipoli. Arrival to Eceabat & lunch break at local restaurant. After lunch, you will start touring Gallipoli Peninsula and visit Kabatepe War Museum, Beach Cemetery (John Simpson's Grave), ANZAC Cove, Ari Burnu (First ANZAC landing place), Lone Pine Cemetery (Australian memorial), Johnston's Jolly (Walk in the ANZAC trenches), View Shrapnel Valley, Turkish Memorial, The Nek and Walker's Ridge & Chunuk Bair (Main New Zealand memorial). Overnight in Canakkale.
Day 4: Troy & Pergamon Tour - Kusadasi (Meals:Breakfast+ Lunch)
Breakfast at 08:45am we depart for the ancient city of Troy . Your guide will explain the mythology surrounding Troy, the Trojan Horse and Helen of Troy, as well as the history and discoveries of the archaeological diggings from its discovery by Heinrich Schliemann in the 1870's to the present day and on going. Nine cities have been discovered built one on top of the other dating back to 3500 B.C. Then continue with a drive to Pergamum. After lunch start the tour of Pergamum with the Acropolis, the Steepest Theater of the ancient world, Temple of Trojan & the library. Overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 5: Day trip to Pamukkale (Meals: Breakfast +Lunch)
Breakfast, 08:00am Drive to Pamukkale, Discovery of Travertine terraces and Hierapolis. The travertine terraces at Pamukkale are one of the most spectacular natural wonders we ever have seen from various mineral springs in a vast white cliff side. Walk along the Hierapolis ancient city ruins, see the huge Necropolis, and feel the warmth of the natural spring as you go barefoot on the Travertens. Then If you like to swim in the Ancient Pool which is also called Cleopatras Pool they charge extra entrance fee. The Cleopatra Pool is warmed by hot springs and littered with underwater fragments of ancient marble columns. Possibly associated with the Temple of Apollo. Overnight in Kusadasi
Day 6: Ephesus tour then to Istanbul (Meals: Breakfast+Lunch)
Breakfast, depart for sightseeing tour First stop, Ephesus Ancient City - Enter through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan. The Grand Theatre, where Saint Paul preached, is the largest theater is antiquity with capacity of 24.000 seats.Next we will visit the ruins of the Temple of Artemis (one of the seven wonders of the world). Lunch at a nice local restaurant and then we will visit the House of the Virgin Mary's - The Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. A small shrine dedicated to St. Mary was found when the ruins of the house were first discovered. After the tour, Transferto Izmir Airport for evening flight to Istanbul at 19:30 pm. Arrival to Istanbul an hour later, meet & transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 7: Half day morning Bosphorus Cruise (Meals: Breakfast)
Breakfast, drive to Spice Market, Egyptian Bazaar heaped with various sweets & spices is one of the world’s largest spice bazaars since 1665. Then embark on the Bosphorus ferry for an unforgettable cruise along the Bosphorus, the beautiful strait that divides Europe from Asia. After cruise back to hotel with rest of day is leisure and Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 8: Istanbul / Departure (Meals: Breakfast)
Breakfast, check-out from your hotel (before 12:00pm), we will arrange transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport.
