Itinerary
Diving in Dahab
Your Dahab dive tour starts on land, in a beach classroom where you’ll learn the basics before taking the plunge in the Red Sea. You’ll get a proper lesson in dive safety and procedure (pay attention, there will be a quiz!), and your professional PADI instructor will teach you everything you need to know about your dive equipment. Sufficiently initiated, you’ll kit up and hit the water.
You’ll be taken to one of two training dive sites, both perfect for beginners, with shallow depth, sandy bottoms, and easy access from shore. All diving is weather-dependent, so your Red Sea dive site location will be decided on the morning of your dive date. You may end up at the Lighthouse, a sheltered reef that has one of the easiest entries in Dahab, or be taken to the Southern Oasis, where you’ll find coral towers and sandy stretches perfect for prepping your diving legs.
You’ll get two dives on your Dahab diving tour, letting you see and do a bit more on your second go, and your guide will work with you to boost your confidence under the sea. Get a good look around you and keep your eyes open for fish, turtles, and, if you’re really lucky, manta rays.
Once you’ve done the dive, you’ll head back to the dive centre to debrief and complete your Discover Scuba Diving certification. If you then decide to up your diving skills to the next level, your DSD certification gives you credits for the first two dives of the PADI Open Water Course.
